What is Pencak Silat?

Pencak Silat is the collective name given to the ethnic Warrior fighting arts of South East Asia, incorpating Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Brunei. Pencak Silat is not a sport, nor is it what most people describe as a Martial Arts, what Pencak Silat really is a “Warrior Way of Life”. An art form, that teaches, and guides you on the path of becoming a Silat Warrior. A way of life, that will develop you Physically, Internally and Spiritually.

What is Combat Silat International?

Combat Silat International was formed by Guru Besar Liam McDonald as an Association for the promotion of the Combat Aspects of Silat. Training in all Areas including Physical, Internal, and Spiritual. Our training is pure and undiluted in techniques and Combat effectiveness. We offer training that’s non political and non religious. We live by the code of the Warrior! We offer the most complete Silat Training syllabus available today in Europe.

We offer a 21st Century approach to teaching, with full support through our weekly classes, Intensive training workshops, Long distance training programmes, extensive and expanding instructional dvd’s collection, instructional books, free regular internet newssheet, regular monthly column and articles in “Combat” magazine, and an expanding network of Representatives.
